WELCOME TO DANCE AT ORE!
My career in education is lovingly dedicated to the memory of my mother, Mari Vaughan!
I would like to welcome and introduce my dance intern, Miss Allie Williams from ECU. Miss Williams will be teaching and interacting with all grade levels at ORE through December 2009. The dance program at ORES exposes students to a wide array of dance styles and time periods ranging from the "Roaring 20's" to the present day "Hip Hop". One of our favorite dance styles is from "The Flapper Era" or "The Roaring 20's" when we learn a dance called "The Charleston". Dance is also a fun and exciting way to teach students in other content areas such as, reading and math. Throughout this website you will find more detailed explanations and pictures of how we utilize dance to reinforce classroom curriculum. Enjoy your tour of ORES' Dance Program.
This year your child will be attending Dance in rotation with Art, Drama, and Music according to a COLOR TEAM ASSIGNMENT.
