My name is Amanda Valenta. I am one of the Pre-K 4 teachers here at Assumption School. I have been teaching at Assumption for eight and a half years. I came to Assumption after graduating from Rowan University with a degree in Elementary Education and Mathematics. I never expected to teach in a Catholic School, but I have come to love teaching here. The faculty and staff of Assumption have become a second family for me and I truly feel at home here. While here at Assumption I have worn many hats. I have predominantly been a Pre-K teacher, but I have also taught seventh grade math one year, fourth grade science and social studies, and art for kindergarten through third grade. Pre-K is my favorite place to be.
I grew up in Fair Lawn with an older brother, older sister and a twin brother. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, crocheting, and snowshoeing. I also greatly enjoy spending time with my two goddaughters and nephew. I look forward to many more wonderful years here at Assumption.
