I took a trip down to Tampa/Clearwater to the FL Aquarium over Verteran's Day weekend. It's a great place to visit!

APES Field Trip (10)
On 9/28 the APES class went on a field trip to learn the techniques and tools used to collect data. We went to Cedar Point and Ft. George Inlet. This also happened to be during the time that Jacksonville was experiencing a Red Tide. While the effects of a harmful algal bloom (HAB) are negative for the entire community (from plankton to people) it was a great opportunity to show the students, first hand, what they'd learned about in class only a few weeks before.

My Summer 2007 (7)
I spent my summer relaxing and doing the things I love the most; reading, hiking and fishing. I went to North Carolina to spend a week in the Blue Ridge Mountains then I traveled down to Big Pine Key for a few days. Check out the cool things I saw! Edited: photos from the Keys have been uploaded!
