I teach French, a truly global language. It is spoken in Canada, parts of the U.S., the Caribbean and South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe. It is one of the official languages of the Red Cross, World Bank, United Nations, Olympics, and the European Union. French and English have 50,000 words in common! Learning a foreign language extends literacy, so it boosts your English skills, too.
