Academically Gifted Program
The Sparta School Academically Gifted Program consists of resource and enrichment classes designed to promote creativity, inquiry based learning, and hands-on problem-solving. All students and parents have input into designing their programs of study. The AG teacher and the regular classroom teachers are responsible for implementing differentiated instruction for Academically Gifted Students.
Philosophy
The Gifted Education Program is an academic program in which the basic curriculum is extended and enriched according to the individual needs, talents, and interests of the gifted student. A differentiated curriculum of greater challenge is required to nurture inquiry, flexibility, and divergent thinking for these students.
